This two and one half day, Train the Trainer Workshop is
designed to provide you with a successful and workable
methodology that you can apply to any subject in which you
may have to train people.
Objectives:
During the course of this workshop, you will write
instructional objectives, formulate lesson plans, and then
present two training sessions. One session will be 5 minutes
in length and the second will be 10 minutes. During these
sessions the attendee will use the procedures, tools, and
skills learned in this workshop. During these training
sessions, you will show your learners how to perform an
activity and then have them do it to affirm the learning.
The sessions will be recorded on videotape. After each
learner's presentation, a constructive critique will help
you to improve your subsequent training sessions and conduct
them in a better, more results-oriented manner.
Class Activities
At the beginning of the first half day, we will meet each
other and talk about the course purpose, the basics of
successful instruction and the objectives we plan to
achieve.
During the remaining two days, we will cover the following
topics: the training process; learning objectives; lesson
plans; the components of communication and motivation;
training evaluation; media selection; and challenges. These
sessions will include your active participation in the
aforementioned training demonstrations, which will be
recorded and replayed for critique by your peers and the
workshop instructor. The instructor for this workshop will
be Dick Woodward, CFPIM, CIRM.
