AMES & Fundamentals
Overview
AMES & Fundamentals of Materials Operations Management
The Central NH Chapter will provide two different formats of
Operations
Management education. Whereas the CPIM
certification review courses assume that material being
covered is already understood, the Applied Manufacturing
Education Series (AMES) and Fundamental of Materials and
Operations Management programs teaches
the basics of Operations Management principles. Both of
these programs cover the same material, only the format is
different.
Upon completion of these
programs the candidate will be better prepared for the CPIM
Courses.
AMES
The Applied Manufacturing Education Series (AMES) contains
six modules in a 3 day workshop format for each
module. AMES is ideal for
in-house education for 5 to 25 employees who wish to
learn the principles of operations management. The six modules
are:
-
Master Planning
-
Materials Requirements
Planning
-
Inventory Management
-
Capacity Requirements
Planning
-
Production Activity Control
-
Just-in-Time.
Fundamentals of Materials and Operations Management
The Fundamentals of Materials and Operations Management
program contains four (4) modules delivered in a classroom setting, three hours
per week for twelve (12) weeks for each module. This program would be ideal
for a number of companies in NH each having
only a few employees who wish to learn the principles of Operations
Management.
The modules are;
-
Fundamentals of Inventory Control
-
Fundamentals of
Planning
-
Fundamentals of Manufacturing Control
-
Fundamentals of Operations Management.
