CSCP
Overview
The Significance of CSCP
Successfully competing in today’s complex global
marketplace requires organizations to improve supply
chain management performance. As a result, well-trained,
well-educated supply chain professionals are playing an
increasingly important role in their organizations.
The APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
program will help individuals develop their supply chain
leadership skills to enable them to create and execute a
supply chain strategy that meets customer needs, reduces
cost, and increases profits. Individuals with the APICS
CSCP designation increase their value to employers who
know that a well-run supply chain is a key component of
a forward-looking and competitive enterprise.
Are you an operations or supply chain management
professional interested in increasing your knowledge of
- supply chain design and
strategy
- demand management, planning,
and logistics
- technologies that enable the
supply chain
- global supply chain
communications?
The APICS CSCP designation will
enable you to learn world-class supply chain management
practices, improve your company’s competitive position,
and advance your career.
Our CSCP offerings are as follows
The first offering is an APICS CSCP 14 week class which
is divided into four modules:
- a.Supply Chain Management
Fundamentals
- b.Building Competitive
Operations, Planning, and Logistics
- c.Managing Customer and
Supplier Relationships
- d.Using Information
Technology to Enable Supply Chain Management
The cost for this course will be $1,425 including all
courseware, which is $895 for APICS members. We require
a minimum class size of 5 students.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For our second CSCP offering we have partnered with
Plymouth State University (PSU) for delivering education
in the area of supply chain design and management. The
educational system uses pre-class work by the student,
followed by a one-weekend intensive residency session,
and then some post-class work. The program/course covers
all the material for CSCP certification by the
combination of a contemporary textbook, online resources
and post-class work.
The course prepares practicing managers and students for
supply chain design and management, and also prepares
participants for the APICS CSCP examination.
Participants may choose from the following list of
options:
Three graduate credits for the PSU or other university
MBA program
Three undergraduate credits for the PSU or other
university undergraduate program, or,
Non-credit (at one-half the tuition rate) for those only
preparing for the CSCP examination
Although this seminar will regularly be on the PSU
summer schedule, it may also be delivered between
September and May for a minimum class size of seven
students.
We will launch the class whenever we meet the minimum
class size.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Our third CSCP offering is structured like the PSU
course (above) but is given outside of the university
structure by our chapter instructor. This course will be
scheduled when at least 5 students have signed up. The
cost will be $1,425 plus a textbook.
For more information on any of the CSCP offerings and to
get your name on our list of interested parties, please
contact Ed Goucher at 603-524-4286 or egoucher@metrocast.net.
We will launch either of the three as soon as we meet
the minimum class size.
