Educational Seminar
June 5, 2008 4:15PM
Littleton Coin Company
Introduction to Project
Management
Prof. William Benoit, DBA, CIRM, CSCP
The goal of expert project
management is to program and control the performance, cost
and schedule of projects while effectively using the people,
funds and materiel assigned to the task.
Projects are everywhere.
Below are a few examples:
-
Co-production overseas·
-
Selection and
installation/training for a new computer system·
-
Design and erection of a
new building·
-
The “Big Dig!”·
-
New product development·
-
A new job shop layout·
-
Restoration of an antique
automobile/aircraft·
-
A wedding·
-
Development of new
software·
-
Fundraising for a
university·
-
Etc
The approaches and tools for
all of these are virtually identical. This seminar will
demonstrate the development of a schedule and budget for a
small project that has all of the components discussed
above.
You will come away from this
PDM with an understanding of how project management
differs from management in product and process environments,
and with valuable information on the tools and techniques of
contemporary project management. Join us for this valuable
PDM.
